The Greek Presidency of the Council of the EU organises the European Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Conference on 16 and 17 June, 2014 at Zappeion Megaron. The Conference focuses on the subject of future OSH policy, in view of the announcement of the European Commission’s Communication on the Strategic Framework for Safety and Health at Work 2014-2020.  The Conference will also explore main challenges in the field of OSH, such as the developments in micro and small enterprises, the effective prevention of work-related diseases and the influence of demographic change on OSH.

The Conference will provide the opportunity to share the views of those in business, of employer representatives, of worker representatives, of the European Commission and of regulatory organisations. The meeting will be joined by Mr László Andor, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion and the Greek Minister and Deputy Minister for Labour, Social Protection and Welfare.  The Conference is supported by the EU Programm “EaSI” 2014-2020.
