An Informal Meeting of the Council’s Customs Union Working Party (CUWP) will be held in Athens on 21 May 2014, in the framework of the Greek Presidency. According to the agenda, there will be presentations on issues related to a) Customs Cooperation with the Mediterranean partner countries b) the implementation of the Union Customs Code (UCC) and c) Greece’s experience in EU border management. 

In the opening session of the Informal Meeting, the General Secretary of Public Revenue, Mr. Theoharis, will address the Customs Union Working Party, which will be attended by representatives of the Members States, the European Commission and the Council.

The Customs Union Working Party (CUWP) is mainly responsible for the legislative elaboration of Customs Union legislation and the coordination of EU position on customs related issues.
