Nautilus, Navigating Greece: a major Greek exhibition in Brussels

An exhibition dedicated to the sea and the relationship between the Greek people and the Mediterranean Sea over the centuries will be on display at the Centre for Fine Arts, commonly known as Bozar, in Brussels from 24 January to 27 April, 2014.

“Nautilus: Navigating Greece”. A creative dialogue among works of antiquity and contemporary Greek art, at Brussels’ Bozar Museum.

The main cultural event of the Hellenic Presidency of the European Union, the exhibition “Nautilus: Navigating Greece”, includes 93 ancient artifacts from 30 Greek museums, some of which will be displayed outside Greece for the first time.

Greek Presidency decorates Justus Lipsius building: A synthesis of contemporary Greek art, traditional patterns and philosophy

The "Decorating the Council 2014" project was inspired by the unique facade decoration engravings (called “xysta”) on traditional housing of Pyrgi village, on the island of Chios, merging the traditional with the futuristic.
